The sounds of a bagpiper will mark the start of this weekend's Scottish Championships.

The event, promoted by former British classic bodybuilding champion Harry Ogg, will take place on Saturday at the Bonar Hall, Dundee.

It's an opportunity not only to become Scottish champion but also to propel yourself into the British and international IFBB physique scene.

Helen Stafford, who won masters bodyfitness last year, is an example of this: last year she went on to place in the top six at the British Championships, which qualified her for this year's Arnold Classic Europe in Barcelona.

Helen is now deep in prep for this year's Arnold, British Championships and Northern Ireland Championships.

Tickets for Saturday's event can be bought on the door. They cost £20 for adults, £15 for 10 to 16-year-olds and are free for under-10s (up to a maximum of two children per adult).

Registration is from 11am to 1pm and the competition will start at 2pm. You are welcome to enter on the day.

Harry has negotiated a deal to park at the university car park behind Bonar Hall for £5 all day until 9.30pm. See below for details, which are also on the UKBFF Scottish Championships Facebook group.
