EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS

The UKBFF currently has seven executive committee members:

  • Born 5th October 1948 in Liverpool
  • Started training in 1963 at the age of 15 yrs
  • Competed for the first time at the age of 21 yrs
  • Competed in more than 100 local and national events
  • Won British Title 3 times, awarding him IFBB Pro status
  • Professional bodybuilder from 1986-1988
  • Executive Committee Member of the UKBFF since 1986
  • President of the UKBFF since 1996

William's Official Activities

  • Started judging nationally in 1986
  • IFBB International and Pro-judges card in 1989 after retiring from competitive bodybuilding
  • Judged numerous Mr. Olympia and Arnold Classic Events
  • One of the founding members of the European Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (EBFF), which started in Minsk, Belarus in May 2002
  • Re-elected by EBFF Congress as Chairman of the Technical Committee in 2006
  • IFBB General Secretary since 2008 and heads IFBB Technical Committee during all IFBB Amateur European and World Championships, overseeing Weigh-in and Judges panels
  • Latest task: Been asked by Jim Lorimerto oversee the registration and applications of all amateurs at the Arnold Classic 2010

  • First competition after only 6 months of training
  • Won Miss Elegance title in 1982•Moved to UK in 1984
  • Executive Committee Member of the UKBFF since 1986
  • Active Committee Member of the European Federation since it’s foundation as the Executive Assistant to the President
  • IFBB Chairperson of the Women’s Committee since October 2006
  • Statistician during all Amateur European and World Championships and overseeing the registration of all athletes

A former national bodybuilding champion, Kerry Kayes is the backbone of British bodybuilding.

He has been involved in the nutrition industry for many years & his dietary expertise has established him as 'the man in the know' to professional bodybuilders worldwide. His personal investment in the sport is limitless: sponsoring national championships & local shows alike. However, his investment is not only financial, demonstrated by the many hours he spends preparing & advising bodybuilders he makes no distinction - this is his life, this is his love.

Scott was born in 1961 the son of a bodybuilder and champion swimmer. As a boy he worked in the quarry with his grandfather where strength and physical prowess earnt respect.He excelled at judo and swimming and left home at 16 and joined the Army.

Within 2 years Scott qualified as a Physical Training Instructor and served in the Royal Military Police as a PTI and Weapons Specialist. After serving with the Royal Military Police he then took his skills and experience to the notorious Army ‘Glasshouse’ (Military Corrective Training Centre) where he served for another 7 years as an instructor.

During his military career Scott was engaged on active service on numerous occassions throughout the world but his main passion was always bodybuilding. After a 2 year tour in Northern Ireland Scott moved to Cyprus when in 1982 he entered his first competition the Mr Cyprus and placed third. As always Scott spent his entire spare time within the bodybuilding community and started to judge in 1983.

Scott's adventures took him to Colchester in 1995 where he first opened Hercules Gym. The gym exploded as did his physique and he competed at many area shows and British Finals.

As a promoter and judge Scott was initially involved with other federations During this time he coached and selected International teams and was also instrumental in re structuring judging criteria as well as judging numerous European and World championships. In 2007 Scott was warmly embraced into the UKBFF and in 2009 selected for the executive committee.

Scott is a larger than life character who has an unbridled passion and enthusiasm for bodybuilding and for life. He loves to share this with others and despite his menacing appearance he is always very approachable and always willing to share a social drink. His Internationally recognised Hercules Gyms and Mr Hercules Show are almost as famous as he is!

Scott is qualified to coach bodybuilding, weightlifting, judo, aikido, swimming, gymnastics and boxing. As he says muscle is his business.

Karl was born in Leamington Spa in 1971 and as a youth he excelled in track and field and all outdoor activities.

In 1999 Karl arrived at Hercules Gym and fully embraced the bodybuilding lifestyle. He threw himself wholeheartedly into the business as a competitor, a coach and as a key player within the promotional arena.

Due to unforseen circumstances his flourishing bodybuilding career was cut short, but he took his drive and passion to the judging table. He is always willing to discuss judging criteria with the athletes.

Karl is currently the Manager of Hercules Gym and you will always find him on the pulse beat of the bodybuilding scene.
